Next week, we’ll be looking forward to seeing you at Orleans Blooms!

It's all happening next weekend! Please come on out and be part of the fun at St. Helen’s Church, 1234 Prestone Drive, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We've had a chance to wander through Peter Knippel Garden Centre and pick out some wonderful annuals, hanging baskets, and vegetables. Some of the more unique plants this year include Cigar Cuphea, Gomphrena, and Verbena bonariensis. Everything is looking beautiful right now.

Come for lunch, because Le Kin BBQ will be serving up pulled pork sandwiches and hamburgers. You can also stop by one of our other food vendors for a treat while you explore the event.

There’s even more in store for kids this year, including a great takeaway package and hands-on activities in our expanded Kids’ Corner.

We’ll also have a couple of speakers joining us. At 11:00 a.m., the Orléans- Cumberland Community Resource Centre will talk about their community gardens and how they are helping meet local food security needs. Then at 1:00 p.m., the Native Seed Library will answer questions about developing healthy and sustainable gardening habits.

Many thanks to all our community partners, including CAA Insurance, Bradley Bus Lines and Todd Henry Investment Advisor.

We hope you plan to join us. The response so far has been heartening. Orléans is a special community.
