Help Us Feed the Need!

On Saturday, September 20, 2025 the Kin Club of Orleans is collecting food and cash donations to support the Compassion Centre Food Bank. This Orleans organization is the only Food Bank that distributes to the community in the K1C postal code.

How it works - Club members and volunteers will be collecting donations door-to-door in selected parts of the residential area of K1C postal code. We will distribute info the week of September 13 and collect donations that are left on the doorstep on September 20.Volunteers are not expected to knock at doors, simply pick up any donations left at the door by residents.

You can help us organize this effort in a couple of ways.

We are actively looking for volunteers to help collect food on September 20. Volunteers would either drive their vehicle on a 2 kilometre route or walk this route to pick up donations. We expect this effort to take no more than 3 hours.

We also have a need for volunteers for an hour anywhere between September 13 to 16th to for door to door drop off of grocery bags and instructions on these routes.

 Let's get out and Feed the Need together! Please consider volunteering your time. We hope to make a generous contribution to the local Food Bank on September 20.
